IMG_2644Katz’s Delicatessen, a kosher-style deli known for its pastrami on rye, announced plans for a subscription service for its pastrami and other delicacies.

Founded in 1888, the New York-based deli, which serves 15,000 pounds (6,804 kilograms) of pastrami as well as 8,000 pounds (3,629 kilograms) of corned beef each week, will send subscribers regular packages of its slow-smoked 30-day pastrami.

A monthly shipment will feed four to six people and will be seasonally themed. In the summer, the July Griller Package will include various types of sausage suitable for the grill, while the January Warmer Package will include hot chicken soup.

Prices start at $150 per month and Katz’s will also offer what it calls Big Ticket Items where the deli will come to your special event and two of their countermen will slice the 100 pounds (45 kilograms) of pastrami.
