DSC_0290 (1)Lufthansa announced the debut of its new Dream Collection bedding. The new items will be available on long-haul flights lasting over 10 1/2 hours.

The collection includes a new pillowcase, blanket, and mattress topper as well as new sleep shirts from Van Laack on night flights. The mattress topper was designed in partnership with Paradies, a German manufacturer of bedding to avoid heat buildup when in use.

The Dream Collection bedding will be available on flights to and from Germany to Latin and South America, South Africa, and the West Coast of the United States.

The German flag carrier plans to introduce Dream Collection bedding on select flights to and from Asia in June and on other long-haul flights in the fall. In addition, Lufthansa will discontinue the use of plastic for wrapping pillows and blankets and will substitute paper, which is more environmentally friendly.
