Delta to Begin 11 New Transatlantic Routes this Summer

DSC_0498Delta Air Lines announced plans to launch and re-launch approximately 11 routes between the United Sates and Europe this summer.

The carrier will begin new flights between Atlanta and Lisbon, as well as service from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport to the Azores, Portugal. The latter will be the carrier’s first route to the Portuguese archipelago.

Delta will launch new Indianapolis-Paris flights, the carrier’s first European service from the Indiana capital. The carrier also plans to begin new flights to both Paris and Amsterdam from Los Angeles.

The airline will restart its Pittsburgh-Paris route, as well as add extra flights to its Detroit-Paris route. Delta will also resume its seasonal Minneapolis-Reykjavik as well as its service between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Glasgow, Copenhagen, and Malaga.

In addition, the airline will increase frequency on routes to Amsterdam, Athens, and Rome, as well as restore service to Dublin from both Atlanta and Boston.
