Yotel, the high-tech hotel operator known for its compact rooms, announced that it will open a new property inside Istanbul New Airport, which is currently under construction and is scheduled to open on October 29 this year.

The hotel will be located inside the airport’s main terminal building, and will consist of 451 guestrooms. Yotel said that the property will have two zones, one airside, which will have 102 rooms, and one landside, which will consist of 349 rooms.

Yotel’s signature Club Lounge will also be located on the premises, as will a 24-hour fitness center. The property will provide various meeting and event spaces.

When it opens later this year, Istanbul New Airport is expected to be the largest airport in the world, with capacity for 150 million passengers annually. Upon Istanbul New Airport’s opening, Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport will be closed, transferring all of its operations, as well as its IATA code, IST, to the new facility.
