DSC_3287Wyndham Hotel Group announced it will rebrand 12 of its existing hotel brands by adding the suffix “by Wyndham” to the name.

Included in the rebranding are Super 8, Ramada, and Howard Johnson, among others. Going forward, it will be Ramada by Wyndham and Howard Johnson by Wyndham, for example.

The reason for the change is that “the Wyndham name has become synonymous with making hotel travel possible for all,” said Barry Goldstein, the hotelier’s executive vice president.

The move affects 7,074 hotels worldwide and the change will be rolled out starting in North America.

After the change, all 20 current Wyndham brands will have Wyndham branding as part of their name.
