United to Add New In-Flight Entertainment Options and Improved Accessibility to Aircraft

DSC_0116 (1)United Airlines announced it was adding a complimentary streaming in-flight entertainment options to 200 additional aircraft.

Passengers can stream United’s library of movies and television shows to their personal electronic devices, which include smartphones, tablet, and laptops without having to purchase in-flight Wi-Fi.

The move means that all United aircraft with 70 seats or more have a complimentary streaming option, accessible via in-cabin Wi-Fi.

In addition to the standard fare, the Chicago-based airline offers music videos via vevo as well as meditation apps from Headspace.

Finally, the airline said it has also improved accessibility on its in-flight entertainment systems to make it easier for passengers to find programming that is either audio description or closed captioned in one menu option.
