United Airlines to Add New Drinks, Desserts, and Dining Selections on Flights

United Airlines announced new breakfast, dessert, and beverage choices on Thursday.
The airline is introducing a new signature cocktail, an Old Fashioned, made with whiskey and bitters, served with an orange rind garnish, on its premium transcontinental flights. It will also be complimentary in United’s Economy Plus premium economy lite section and available for purchase in coach.
The Chicago-based airline will offer a variety of new beers and ales on flights starting in May including Lagunitas Sumpin’ Easy Ale; Citradelic Tangerine IPA, a new craft IPA, and Stella Artois, a pilsner.
In addition, customers in United Business will be presented with a choice of Ghirardelli sundae toppings on premium transcon flights. The choices include Barista Dark Chocolate Mini Chips, Ghirardelli Hot Fudge sauce, Ghirardelli Caramel sauce, and Barista Caramel Flavored Mini Chips.
“We hope that our customers enjoy these new selections just as much as we enjoyed creating them using valuable feedback that was provided by customers and our employees,” said Charlean Gmunder, the airline’s vice president of catering.
Finally, United is adding several new options to its Choice Menu including egg and chicken chorizo tacos for breakfast and a barbecue chicken sandwich for lunch and dinner.
