JetBlue to Introduce Fort Lauderdale-Grand Cayman Route
JetBlue Airways announced plans to start non-stop service between Fort Lauderdale and Grand Cayman on October 25, 2018.
The one-hour flight will leave Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport at 10:26 a.m. local time and arrive at Owen Roberts International Airport in Grand Cayman at 10:53 a.m. Return flights will depart at 11:53 a.m. and arrive in Fort Lauderdale at 2:29 p.m.
“Grand Cayman has never been so close,” said John Checketts, the airline’s vice president for network planning.
Grand Cayman is the largest of three Cayman Islands and the location of its capital, George Town. The Cayman Islands are known for their white sand beaches and their many natural attractions, as well as for a booming offshore banking business.
JetBlue already operates non-stop service to the island from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and seasonal service from Boston Logan International Airport.
