Apple added the Lane Guidance feature to its Maps App for users in Czechia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, and Poland

In February, Apple added Austria, South Africa, and Switzerland to the list.

Lane Guidance displays the lane the driver should be in via a floating black information panel that disappears after it’s no longer needed. Lane guidance is also provided via Siri’s voice prompts.

The feature is available both directly on the iPhone as well as when using Apple CarPlay.

The move brings the total number of countries where the feature is available to 19. In addition to the eight recently added nations, the list of supported countries includes Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, France, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

The Lane guidance feature was introduced with the release of Apple iOS 11.
