The union representing Alaska Airlines’ flight attendants said that its membership has ratified the agreement reached with the airline in February.

The Association of Flight Attendants said that 75% of the airline’s 5,700 flight attendants had voted in favor of the contract.

The agreement covers over 5,700 flight attendants working at the airline including former Virgin America employees who joined the company in December 2016 following the airlines’ merger . It will provide flight attendants with pay raises, immediate pay parity for former Virgin America flight attendants, increased retirement contributions, as well as an increase in what the airline termed “quality of life” benefits such as enhancements in maternity leave and greater schedule flexibility.

The joint collective bargaining agreement also provides for a smooth path to combine the two flight attendant groups.
