DSC_0205Yet another major winter storm is hurtling towards the East Coast of the United States, the third in 11 days.

Currently bringing snow to the Appalachians, the storm will bring heavy snow and high winds with the potential for blizzard conditions in some areas.

Expect hazardous travel and road conditions throughout the region. Airlines have already begun cancelling hundreds of flights in and out of the area.

The National Weather Service has posted winter storm warnings for much of New England starting Monday night for cities including Boston, Hartford, Providence, and Portland, Maine.

Blizzard warnings are now in effect for eastern Massachusetts including Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard but excluding Boston proper.
