Hilton Hotels & Resorts announced it plans to discontinue its points and miles earning option in the Hilton Honors guest loyalty program.

The points and miles option allowed Honors members to earn both points with Hilton and miles with a partner airline for each stay.

Meanwhile, to compensate, the tier bonus for Silver, Gold, and Diamond members is increasing to 20%, 80%, and 100% respectively.

In addition, Hilton previously announced milestone bonuses that would award 10,000 additional points on every tenth night once a member has stayed 40 nights with the hotelier, as well as a 30,000-point bonus on the 60th night.
