Air Canada Appoints Vice President for Airport Experience
Air Canada announced the appointment of Robert Alan Read to the position of vice president, airports, North America.
The news was announced by the airline’s president, Benjamin Smith. Mr. Read was previously vice president of operations at Air Canada Rouge.
“A top priority for Air Canada is the continual improvement of the airport experience for our customers, including ease of connections,” said Smith, adding that the airline plans to take customer service and airport operations “to the next level.”
Read will have responsibility for the carrier’s airport operations and customer service across the North American continent and will be responsible for the airline’s Concierge program that supports its most frequent flyers at 40 airports worldwide.
Starting with the airline as a ramp station attendant in 1979, Read worked his way up the ladder and helped start Air Canada Rouge
