Hawaiian Reports Modest Increase in Load Factor and Traffic for January 2018

Hawaiian Airlines announced operational results for January 2018.

The carrier’s total system traffic for the month was 1.37 billion RPMs, or revenue passenger miles, a 2.3% increase from 1.33 billion RPMs in January 2017.

Capacity, measured in ASMs, or available seat miles, was 1.63 billion, a 2.3% increase from 1.59 billion last year.

The carrier’s load factor for the month of January was 84.1%, 0.2 percentage points higher than 83.9% last January.

The airline also reported that it carried 972,672 passengers in January, a 4.3% increase over the 932,157 passengers it carried in the same period in 2017.
