Pre-departure beverage in Flagship First

American Airlines announced the appointment of Bobby Stuckey to head the airline’s wine program.

Stuckey is a master sommelier who most recently worked at the French Laundry in Yountville, California where, during his tenure, the restaurant received the James Beard Foundation’s award for Outstanding Wine Service.

As the airline’s wine consultant, he will be responsible for selecting wines for the airline’s Flagship Lounges and Admirals Clubs in airports as well as for in-flight dining in all classes of service.

“We want to choose and curate great, delicious wines whether on the ground or in flight,” he said in a statement, explaining his philosophy. Stuckey’s wine selections will be in American airport lounges and on board American flights later this year.
