Amazon announced that it would offer 5% cash back on purchases made at its recently acquired grocery chain, Whole Foods, effective Tuesday for those using the Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature credit card.

Cardholders already get 5% back on purchases from Amazon.com, 2% from purchases at restaurants, gas stations, and drug stores, and 1% on all other purchases.

In addition, those using the Amazon Rewards Visa Signature credit card will get 3% back on Whole Foods purchases.
Neither card carries a fee but the Amazon Prime Visa Signature credit card does require an Amazon Prime membership, which costs $99 annually.

Amazon acquired Whole Foods last June for $13.4 billion.
