WestJet to Increase Summer Flights, Begin Service to London, Paris

DSC_0727WestJet announced that it plans to increase the number of flights to multiple destinations from its Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver hubs this summer. In addition, the carrier will launch new service from Halifax to both London and Paris, beginning in April.

The airline will increase the number of flights to 15 destinations from Calgary to major cities including Las Vegas, Dallas/Fort Worth, Vancouver, Edmonton, and Montreal, as well as to smaller cities such as Nanaimo, Kelowna, Grande Prairie, and Penticton.

In addition, the carrier will begin to offer new daily service to Denver and four weekly flights to Mexico City from Calgary starting on March 8 and March 14, respectively. Service to Mexico City will increase to daily on April 29.

WestJet will increase the number of flights from Edmonton to seven existing destinations including Vancouver, Fort McMurray, Saskatoon, and Los Angeles. Meanwhile, the carrier will launch additional flights from Vancouver to various destinations in Canada and Mexico, including Kelowna, Ottawa, Regina, Victoria, Cancun, and Cabo San Lucas.

The carrier will also launch new thrice-weekly service to Mexico City from Vancouver on March 15. Flights on the new route are scheduled to increase to daily on April 29.

Finally, on April 29, WestJet will begin new daily flights from Halifax to London Gatwick, followed by daily Halifax-Paris service on May 31.
