American Airlines Selects Lands’ End as New Uniform Supplier

DSC_0803 (1)American Airlines announced it selected Lands’ End as its new supplier of uniforms for customer-facing personnel.

“After a thorough vetting process, and in conjunction with our union leadership teams, we are pleased to announce that Lands’ End has been selected as the new uniform supplier for Flight Service, Airport Customer Service and Premium Customer Services,” the airline said in a memo to employees.

Based in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, Lands’ End is a clothing company specializing in causal wear.

The airline announced a search for a new supplier following numerous complaints that its then new flight attendant uniforms, introduced in September 2016 and produced by Twin Hill, were causing allergic reactions in wearers.

American still needs to decide on fabrics and color choices but it anticipates that it will begin testing new uniforms by October.
