DSC_0333Alaska Airlines unveiled a new collection of uniforms for its customer-facing staff, created by fashion designer Luly Yang.

The new uniforms will be distributed to the 19,000 Alaska, Virgin America, and Horizon Air employees beginning late next year.

The collection was inspired by the West Coast of the United States, and features bright color pop and clean lines. The uniforms will be introduced next week, when 130 employees, including pilots, customer service agents, and lounge employees, will begin wearing tester kits for two months.

The new uniforms are designed to be layered so that employees can stay cool or keep warm while on the job. Alaska said that the uniforms are meant to keep staff members comfortable whether they are working in Barrow, Alaska or in warmer places such as Mexico City.
