Alaska Airlines Announces Flights to 8 Cities from Historic Paine Field Near Seattle
Alaska Airlines announced that it would begin new service to eight destinations from Paine Field in-Snohomish County Airport in Everett, Washington this fall.
Paine Field is the site of Boeing’s Everett assembly plant that was part of the 747 program. Alaska, along with United Airlines, plans to offer scheduled service from the historic airport, which began commercial service in 1939.
The carrier, starting in September, will offer daily flights to Los Angeles, San Jose, San Francisco, San Diego, and Orange County, California; Phoenix, Arizona; Portland, Oregon; and Las Vegas
Flight frequency on each route will be announced later this year, along with departure and arrival times.
A new terminal, scheduled to open in advance of flight operations, is currently under construction at Paine Field.
