The move will accommodate increased demand from the two cities for the Rose Bowl, set to be played on January 1 between the University of Georgia and Oklahoma State University.

The carrier added an additional flight to Los Angeles International Airport from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on Friday, December 29, as well as on Saturday, December 30, in addition to an extra flight from Oklahoma City’s Will Rogers World Airport on December 30.

Southwest will also add extra return flights to the two cities on Tuesday, January 2, 2018.

The Rose Bowl Game will be played at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California, located just outside of Los Angeles. The first Rose Bowl Game was played 115 years ago on January 1, 1902.
