Marriott to Open 40 New Luxury Hotels in 2018

DSC_0782 (1)Marriott Hotels and Resorts announced plans to open approximately 40 new higher-end properties next year, in multiple countries including Australia, China, Germany, Mexico, and Israel.

Marriott will debut six new Ritz-Carlton properties including in locations that include China’s Jiuzhaigou Valley and Los Cabos, Mexico. In addition, the company plans to renovate several Ritz-Carlton properties, including The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin and the Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul.

New St. Regis hotels are set to open in Cairo and Amman, and the St. Regis Rome will be renovated. Meanwhile, eight new W hotels are scheduled to open next year, in cities including Tel Aviv, Dubai, Brisbane, and Panama City.

Marriott’s Edition brand will see seven new hotels open in 2018, in New York, Los Angeles, Barcelona, Bodrum, Bangkok, Shanghai, and Abu Dhabi, while ten Luxury Collection hotels are set to open in cities such as Los Cabos; Savannah, Georgia; Vail, Colorado; and Okinawa, Japan.

Finally, the hotelier will open new JW Marriott properties in Nashville and the Maldives, and will renovate existing properties such as the Grosvenor House, a JW Marriott Hotel and the JW Marriott Bangkok.
