Hilton Introduces New Smart Hotel Room

DSC_0782Hilton Hotels and Resorts announced its new Connected Room concept, which allows guests to personalize aspects of their rooms from a smartphone app.

The hotelier said that Connected Room is currently in beta testing at one property and will be rolled out at several other hotels in the coming weeks. The company plans to begin expanding the concept across multiple hotels next year.

Guests will be able to manage Connected Room through the Hilton Honors app, using it to control settings in their room such as temperature, lighting, and window coverings. Guests will also be able to use the platform to control the TV.

New features, such as voice command, will be available in the future. Guest will also be able to upload pictures to display on the flatscreen television in their guestroom.
