Hawaiian Airlines to Launch New Maui-San Diego Flights

Hawaiian Airlines announced that it plans to launch new service between Maui and San Diego on May 1. The carrier will use newly acquired Airbus A321neo aircraft to operate the daily flights.

Flights are scheduled to depart Maui’s Kahului Airport at 12:50 p.m. and arrive at San Diego International Airport at 9:10 p.m. Flights from San Diego to Maui will depart at 8:15 a.m. and arrive at 11:15 a.m.

Hawaiian’s new Airbus A321neos are outfitted with 16 seats in first class, 45 in Extra Comfort, the carrier’s premium economy lite section, and 128 seats in economy. First-class seats are 18” wide and have a pitch of 45” to 46”.

In addition, Hawaiian announced that it will launch four daily seasonal routes next summer, including its first international seasonal service.

The carrier will begin San Francisco-Honolulu service on May 25, and will operate the route through July 31. On May 26, the carrier will begin Oakland-Kona flights, and will offer them through September 2.

Los Angeles-Kahului service will begin on June 1, and will be operated through August 31, while flights between Honolulu and Tokyo Narita last between August 1 and September 29.

The carrier will use its new Airbus A321neo aircraft on its San Francisco-Honolulu and Oakland-Kona routes.
