The former Trump Soho is now the Dominick Hotel and a member of the Preferred Hotels and Resorts collection.

The Dominick opened its doors December 20 with 391 rooms in the 46-story tower. Management plans to build on the tone that was set under the original developer and all existing reservations will be honored. The hotel was quick to say that there was very little change in staffing, promising that returning guests will see “familiar faces.”

“The debut of The Dominick marks a new start for the continuation of the level of luxury service that has been set at this hotel,” said Sharon Telesca-Feurer, the hotel’s acting director of sales and marketing.

Guestrooms feature views of Manhattan’s skyline and the Hudson River with floor-to-ceiling windows and were furnished by Fendi Casa. Marble bathrooms feature granite countertops and deep soaking tubs. New local artisanal products will soon be featured in the minibar.

Dining options include a new restaurant, Spring & Varick, featuring American cuisine by Executive Chef John Creger. Mr. Jones is the hotel’s 1960s-style cocktail bar on the lobby level and is decorated with lightboxes featuring images of 1960s luminaries including Neil Armstrong, Sophia Loren, Marilyn Monroe, and Frank Sinatra. Bar d’Eau is an indoor/outdoor rooftop bar offering light bites and cocktails.
