Alaska Air, Air France to End Partnership
Alaska Airlines announced that its long-standing partnership with Air France will end on April 30, 2018.
The airline quickly added that all of Air France’s “top destinations” are also served by its other partners, which include British Airways, Finnair, and Icelandair, although there will be a gap in coverage for what the airline termed “some small European destinations.”
Customers who have already booked tickets on Air France will earn miles on Alaska’s Mileage Plan frequent flyer program regardless of the date of the trip. Those booking travel that will take place on or before April 30, 2018 will also receive credit but there will be no credit for flights effective May 1.
In September, Alaska announced it was ending its partnership with Aeromexico effective January 1, 2018.
