Air Canada to Introduce Multiple New Routes from Toronto, Montreal

Air Canada announced that it plans to launch three new domestic seasonal routes next summer, as well as two new flights to the United States. The carrier will begin service from Toronto to both Nanaimo and Kamloops, and from Montreal to Victoria, British Colombia as well as to Baltimore and Pittsburgh in the United States.

Toronto-Nanaimo flights will begin on June 21 and last through October 8. Flights will be operated four times a week, on Mondays Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

On June 22, the carrier will launch flights to Kamloops. The service will be offered three days a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, through October 9.

Flights from Montreal to Victoria are set to begin on June 22 as well. The carrier will offer the route three days a week, on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, through October 9.

All three new domestic routes will be operated by Air Canada rouge, using Airbus A319 aircraft, equipped with 12 seats in Premium Rouge, eight seats in Rouge Plus, the carrier’s premium economy lite section, and 116 seats in economy. Seats in Premium Rouge are 21” wide and have a pitch of 36”.

In addition, on May 17, Air Canada will begin year-round daily flights from Montreal to both Baltimore and Pittsburgh, These routes will be operated by Air Canada Express, using 50-seat Bombardier CRJ-100/200 aircraft.
