The new twice-weekly flight will be operated by Air Canada rouge using Boeing 767-300 aircraft that have 24 recliner seats in the Premium Rouge premium economy section, 36 seats in premium economy lite, and 219 seats in coach. Premium Rouge recliner seats are arranged in a 2-2-2 configuration and are 18.5” wide, with a seat pitch of 37”.

Flights from Montreal to Lima will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays, while return flights will operate on Wednesdays and Sundays.

“Montreal residents and companies will now have easy access to all of the cultural, economic and social richness of Lima and South America,” said the city’s mayor, Valérie Plante.

South America is the third continent Air Canada has added service to from Montreal, after Africa and Asia. In 2018, Air Canada will add new routes from Montreal to Tokyo, Dublin, Lisbon, and Bucharest.
