WestJet introduced WestJet Link regional service in Canada. Flights for WestJet Link will be operated under a capacity purchase agreement with Pacific Coastal Airlines.

The airline said it plans to connect Cranbrook, Lethbridge, Lloydminster, Medicine Hat, and Prince George to its hub in Calgary.

“This new partnership between WestJet and Pacific Coastal will allow smaller communities within Alberta and British Columbia to take advantage of YYC’s extensive route network,” said Bob Sartor, the Calgary Airport Authority’s CEO.

Pacific Coastal will operate the flights using 34-seat Saab 340B aircraft in WestJet livery with six seats in WestJet Plus at the front of the aircraft.

All flights will operate daily and will start to be phased in starting on March 7, 2018.
