United Reports Traffic Increase for October

DSC_0359 (1)United Airlines announced operational results for October 2017.

Total traffic for the Chicago-based airline during the month of October was 18.1 billion RPMs, or revenue passenger miles, an increase of 1.7% from 17.8 billion RPMs in October 2016. The carrier’s total capacity for the month was up 3.4% to 22.3 billion ASMs, or available seat miles, from 21.5 billion ASMs last October.

Meanwhile, United’s consolidated load factor was down 1.3 percentage points to 81.1% from 82.4% in October 2016.

United reported a 4.7% rise in domestic traffic on a 5.1% increase in capacity while there was a 2.6% decrease in international traffic on a 1.2% increase in international capacity.
