Brookstone Employee Arrested for Stealing 2 Million Delta Miles
A former executive assistant at Brookstone’s corporate headquarters was arrested for theft after managers discovered she had stolen millions of Delta SkyBonus points when she was no longer an employee.
Tiffany A. Tomaselli of Manchester, New Hampshire, was taken into custody on Saturday after turning herself in to the Merrimack Police Department following the issuance of a warrant for her arrest. She was charged with theft.
Executives at the company discovered that Tomaselli had been using the SkyBonus points to purchase award tickets after her employment had been terminated in 2013. Police said that she used over 2,000,000 SkyBonus points for flights, with a value of over $300,000, to travel to multiple countries including France, Italy, and Greece.
Tomaselli was released on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond and is scheduled to return to court on December 7.
