United Airlines Appoints Regional President for New York Metro Area

DSC_0295United Airlines announced the appointment of Jill Kaplan to the position of president for New York/New Jersey, a new position.

Kaplan, who will join the airline mid-November, will oversee and coordinate multiple departments including government affairs, marketing, and sales for the region and also work with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which operates the region’s airports. She will report to United’s president, Scott Kirby.

“Jill will have a singular focus on making United the number one airline in New York and New Jersey, one of the most competitive regions in the world,” said Kirby in a statement.

Prior to joining United, Kaplan served as publisher at Crain’s New York Business, where she was responsible for strategy, branding, and sales.
