Delta to Offer Option to Pre-Order Meals in Delta One and First, Upgrade Meals in Coach on International Flights
Delta Air Lines announced Tuesday it will soon allow passengers flying in its premium cabins to pre-order meals and also said it was enhancing in-flight dining on international flights.
The Atlanta-based airline will roll out the pre=ordering feature in the Delta One cabin on flights departing New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport early next year. Shortly thereafter, it will offer the option on all international flights. By the end of next year, first-class and Delta One passengers traveling on all Delta flights will be able to preorder entrees.
In addition, starting in the middle of next year, the carrier will introduce new and improved meals on long-haul international flights. Delta will also introduce newly designed coach trays and plates at the same time as well as new cutlery in December of this year.
Delta also plans to offer new pillows in its Comfort+, the carrier’s premium economy lite section, and main cabins on all long-haul international flights.
