United to Launch New Summer Service to Porto, Reykjavik, Zurich, Edinburgh

IMG_9776 (1)United Airlines announced that it will add four new daily routes to Europe as part of its summer seasonal schedule next year. The carrier will begin flights from Newark Liberty International Airport to Porto, Portugal, and Reykjavik, Iceland, as well as establishing San Francisco-Zurich, Switzerland, and Washington, D.C.-Edinburgh, Scotland, service.

Flights to Porto Airport will depart Newark Liberty at 9:45 p.m. and arrive at 9:50 a.m. the next morning. Return flights will depart at 12:35 p.m. and arrive at 1:35 p.m. United will operate the service between May 4 and October 3, 2018, using Boeing 757 aircraft.

Newark-Reykjavik flights will depart at 10:30 p.m. and arrive at Keflavik International Airport at 8:10 a.m. the next day. Flights from Reykjavik to Newark are scheduled to depart at 11:55 a.m. and arrive at 2:05 p.m. United will operate the flights beginning May 23 and ending October 2, also using Boeing 757 aircraft.

Flights to Zurich from San Francisco will depart San Francisco International Airport at 2:10 p.m. and arrive at Zurich Airport at 10:10 a.m. the next day. Return flights will depart at 9:50 am. and arrive at 12:40 p.m. The airline will offer the service between June 7 and October 27, and flights will use Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners.

From Washington Dulles International Airport, flights to Edinburgh Airport are scheduled to depart at 10:10 p.m. and arrive the next morning at 10:25 a.m. Flights from Edinburgh to Washington, D.C., will depart at 12:40 p.m. and arrive at 3:40 p.m. United will operate the service between May 23 and October 4, using Boeing 757 aircraft.
