JetBlue Reports Small Drop in Load Factor for July While Traffic and Capacity Climb
JetBlue Airways announced operational results for July 2017.
The carrier said that its total traffic and capacity were up, while its load factor dropped.
The New York-based airline’s passenger traffic was 4.48 billion revenue passenger miles, or RPMs, a year-over-year increase of 5.1% from 4.26 billion RPMs in the same period last year.
JetBlue’s capacity also increased, up 5.9% to 5.14 billion available seat miles, or ASMs, from 4.85 billion ASMs in July 2016.
Meanwhile, the airline’s passenger load factor for the month was 87.1% a 0.7 percentage point decrease from 87.8% last July.
