Waldorf Astoria Chengdu Opens its Doors

Hilton Hotels and Resorts announced the opening of the Waldorf Astoria Chengdu in China. The hotel is Hilton’s 200th property in Asia Pacific.

The 52-story property is located in the in99 Plaza, a 2,045,142-square-foot (190,000-square-meter) mixed-use development consisting of office and apartment towers as well as a mall. The new hotel has 289 guestrooms, each with a walk-in closet and marble bathrooms.

Dining options include Brasserie 99, which offers international cuisine and has floor-to-ceiling windows; Infinite Luck Chinese Restaurant, which features Cantonese dishes; Peackock Alley Lobby Lounge and Bar, which offers the signature Waldorf Astoria afternoon tea; and Limited Edition Grill; an American restaurant that offers beef, seafood, and wine. In addition, the Limited Edition Sip Wine Bar has craft beers, artisanal spirits, and a variety of wines from around the world, while Wall Street Bar is a rooftop bar with an in-house DJ.

The hotel has over 21,527 square feet (2,000 square meters) of meeting and event space, including a ballroom and five meeting rooms. Guests can also use the hotel’s 24-hour fitness center, the spa, and heated indoor pool, as well as a steam room, sauna, and salt rooms.

In celebration of the opening, Hilton is offering members of its Honors loyalty program 1,000 bonus points per night for stays through December 31 of this year.
