Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group announced that the 115-year-old Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London has begun an extensive renovation project. The property will remain open while the work, which is expected to be completed by next spring, takes place

The hotel’s 181 guestrooms will be completely refurbished, inspired by the building’s Edwardian heritage and Hyde Park, and will incorporate Art Deco themes including the artwork and furniture. Some of the refurbished rooms are already available to guests.

Two new penthouse suites are also being added to the hotel as part of the renovations. Each will have private terraces and views of the park.

Designer Adam D. Tihany will supervise renovations at the hotel’s Spa at Mandarin Oriental, as well as at the property’s restaurants and bars.
