Hyatt Hotels and Resorts announced the completion of extensive renovations at the Hyatt Carmel Highlands in northern California.

The hotel’s 38 guestrooms and ten suites were all redesigned, with new color schemes, heating, and furnishings.

The hotel’s restaurant, California Market at Pacific’s Edge, was expanded and outfitted with an outdoor deck, as well as a new communal table constructed from a Monterey cypress tree trunk. A new menu was also implemented.

The property’s Sunset Lounge, which offers an awe-inspiring view of the Big Sur coast, now offers new bar menus and a reconfigured layout, as well as sculptures of coastal birds and timber frames and metal strappings, all inspired by the Pacific coastline. The hotel’s lobby received a refresh as well, including new furniture.
