Delta to Launch Atlanta-Shanghai Flights

IMG_1868 (2)Delta Air Lines announced that it will begin new service between Atlanta and Shanghai next July.

Flights will depart Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport at 3 p.m. and arrive at Shanghai Pudong International Airport at 6:50 p.m. local time the next day. From Shanghai, flights are scheduled to depart at 11:40 a.m. and arrive back in Atlanta at 2:55 p.m.

Delta will operate the service using Boeing 777-200LR aircraft, equipped with 291 seats, including 37 lie-flat seats in the Delta One business-class cabin, 36 seats in Delta Comfort+, the carrier’s premium economy lite section, and 218 seats in coach. Seats in Delta One are 21” wide and have a pitch of 78”.

The route will be the carrier’s fourth to Shanghai from the United States, after Detroit, Seattle, and Los Angeles.
