Delta to Begin Los Angeles-Mexico City Route
Delta Air Lines announced that it plans to launch daily service between Los Angeles and Mexico City on December 1. The carrier previously operated the route, but discontinued it in 2005.
Flights are scheduled to depart Los Angeles International Airport at 9:30 a.m. an arrive at Mexico City International Airport at 3:10 p.m. Flights from the Mexican capital to Los Angeles will depart at 4:30 p.m. and arrive at 7 p.m.
Delta will operate the flights using Airbus A319 aircraft, equipped with 132 seats, including 12 in first class, 18 in Delta Comfort+, the carrier’s premium economy lite section, and 102 in economy. Seats in first class are 21” wide and have a pitch of 36”.
The service will connect Delta’s Los Angeles hub with its joint venture partner Aeromexico’s Mexico City hub. Aeromexico currently offers six daily round trip flights between the two cities.
