IMG_9776 (1)United Airlines announced Thursday it would introduce a new category of mileage award called Everyday Awards.

Everyday Awards will replace Standard Awards and it will be available for reservations made on or after November 1 of this year. The cost of an Everyday Award flight will dynamically vary based on demand, although the airline will publish an award chart that will indicate the maximum number of miles needed for a particular trip.

Meanwhile, saver awards remain unchanged although United is increasing the number of miles required in many cases for these awards in business and first. There are no changes to saver award pricing in coach for travel to, from, or within the lower 48 states.

The new award level is only available for United and United Express flights; saver awards will be used for flights on other airlines, just as before.
