Scandal-plagued ride-hailing service Uber announced it is adding a tipping option to its app.

The move was announced in a message to drivers on Wednesday, one day after Uber co-founder Travis Kalanick resigned under pressure as CEO.

The new feature is being rolled out on a city-by-city basis and is already available in Houston, Minneapolis, and Seattle. It will be operational throughout the United States by the end of July.

“We’re starting with only 3 cities so we can create the best tipping experience for you and your riders,” the company said in the message.

Uber is planning other changes as well, including reducing the time customers have to cancel a ride before incurring a fee and charging for wait time after two minutes following the driver’s arrival at the pick-up location. It is also adding a $2 surcharge for each ride on accounts parents registered for their teenagers.
