Lufthansa to Issue iPads to Flight Attendants

IMG_5643Lufthansa announced that it will go paperless in flight by distributing iPads minis to its over 20,000 flight attendants.

The Cabin Mobile Device will give cabin crew online access the Lufthansa crewFlight app, which provides them with detailed information on passengers as well as access to their manuals, while in flight. It will also provide up-to-date information on flight plans and seating charts.

Lufthansa said it will plans to roll out iPads to all members of its cabin crew over the next few weeks.

The CMD program is part of the airline’s parent’s mobilization program called OPSession. OPSession’s mission is to “further digitize” operations at Lufthansa, Swiss, and Austrian Airlines and provide mobile employees such as pilots and cabin crew with mobile devices.
