Hainan Airlines announced plans for new service between Shanghai and Brussels on October 25. The route will be the carrier’s second non-stop service between China and Brussels, after its Beijing-Brussels route.

Flights will depart Shanghai Pudong International Airport at 1:25 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, arriving at Brussels Airport at 7:30 a.m. From Brussels, flights are scheduled to depart at 12:30 p.m., also on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and arrive back in Shanghai at 5:30 a.m. the next day.

The airline will operate the route using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, equipped with 30 lie-flat seats in business class and 258 seats in economy. Business-class seats are 22” wide and have a pitch of 74”.

The route will be the first non-stop between Shanghai and Belgium.
