Hainan Airlines to Link Chongqing with New York
Hainan Airlines announced that it will begin new service between New York and Chongqing in Southwestern China on October 20.
The route will be the first non-stop between New York and a city in western China.
Flights will depart Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport at 10 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays, arriving at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport at 12:50 a.m. the next day. From New York, flights are scheduled to depart at 2:50 a.m. on Thursdays and Saturdays and arrive in Chongqing at 6:35 a.m. the next morning.
The service will be Hainan’s 13th non-stop route to North America. The carrier began Chongqing-Los Angeles service on March 21, the first ever non-stop flight between Chongqing and North America.
