WestJet Begins Abbotsford-Winnipeg Flights

DSC_0514WestJet announced the launch of new daily service between Abbotsford and Winnipeg. The news follows Abbotsford International Airport’s announcement that it will eliminate its airport improvement fee on June 1.

Flights will depart Abbotsford at 1:10 p.m. and arrive in Winnipeg at 5:48 p.m. Flights from Winnipeg to Abbotsford are scheduled to depart at 7:25 a.m. and arrive at 8:20 a.m.

The airline will operate the route through October 28.

Abbotsford is located in British Colombia, approximately 44 miles (71 kilometers) east of Vancouver. The city has a population of around 141,400 people.

In addition to the new service, WestJet also announced that it increased its frequency on its Abbotsford-Edmonton route from 13 to 20 weekly flights.
