Marriott announced the opening of a new Renaissance hotel at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The Renaissance Atlanta Airport Gateway Hotel is connected to the airport via the SkyTrain.

The hotel has 204 guestrooms, including eight suites. The property also has installations from local artists displayed throughout the hotel, as well as digital art projections and 11 original murals.

Guests can dine at the property’s restaurant, Hickory and Hazel Southern Table and Bar, which features New Orleans-style cuisine. The restaurant also has signature cocktails on the menu, and the hotel offers the Renaissance brand’s signature cocktail hour each evening, which is complimentary for guests.

The property has 6,290 square feet (585 square meters) of meeting and event space, including a 3,345-square-foot (310-square-meter) ballroom and seven event rooms.

The opening of the new property follows news that the closure of the 394-room Sheraton Atlanta Airport Hilton, which is slated to be demolished next month to allow the construction of a new runway at the airport.
