New Marriott Autograph Collection Hotel Opens in Chicago
Marriott Hotels and Resorts announced the opening of a new Autograph Collection property in downtown Chicago. The Hotel EMC2 is located at 228 East Ontario Street.
Guests are greeting with the words of Leonardo da Vinci: “Study the science of art. Study the art of science” and the theme of art and science are reflected throughout the hotel.
The 21-story property has 195 guestrooms, each with designs influenced by 1920 laboratories, including what Marriott said are freestanding bathrooms at the center, resembling a “wet lab.” Rooms also have gramophones that can play music from any mobile device.
Guests can dine at the Albert, the hotel’s restaurant, which features seasonally-inspired menus from around the globe. The restaurant also has a 20-seat chef’s table.
The hotel has approximately 2,000 square feet (185 square meters) of meeting and event space and its two multi-function meeting rooms were named to honor mathematician Emmy Noether.
