JAL to Link Tokyo with Melbourne and Kona, Hawaii

Japan Airlines announced that it plans to introduce new daily service to Melbourne, Australia and Kona, Hawaii from Tokyo this September.

Beginning September 1, flights will depart Tokyo Narita at 10:30 a.m. and arrive in Melbourne at 9:55 p.m. From Melbourne, flights are scheduled to depart at 12:05 a.m. and arrive in Tokyo at 9:05 a.m.

JAL will operate the route using Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft. The service will be the airline’s second to Australia.

On September 15, JAL will begin flights to Kona, which are scheduled to depart Tokyo Narita at 9:25 p.m. and arrive at 10:15 a.m. Flights from Kona to Tokyo will depart at 12:15 p.m. and arrive at 4 p.m. the next day.

The airlines will use Boeing 767-300ER aircraft on the route.
