DSC_0782Hilton Hotels and Resorts unveiled a new fitness-centric guestroom category called Five Feet to Fitness. The new concept offers over 11 different in-room fitness equipment options.

Among the in-room offerings is an indoor bike from Wattbike that can be used for longer workouts as well as interval training sessions. A Gym Rax functional training station, which offers suspension and high interval training, is also included in each room.

Hilton also introduced what it calls the Fitness Kiosk, a touch screen display that is embedded in the Gym Rax that offers guests equipment tutorials and guided workout routines. The hotelier also created over 200 fitness videos in categories such as cardio, cycling, endurance, strength, yoga, stretch, high intensity interval training, and recovery.

The room “combines a sleep and fully integrated fitness experience,” said Ryan Crabbe, senior director of global wellness at Hilton.

The new Five Feet to Fitness room category is available at Parc 55 San Francisco and the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner. It will be rolled out at properties in Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Las Vegas, New York, and San Diego in the near future.
